Another song to the same tune. White uses the force of the opposition to help his Pawn reach the queening square.

1. Kd5 Kd7
2. Kc5

If Black could meet this by …, Kc7, he would have the opposotion. This being impossible, he sets a little trap.

2.

He hopes White will play the obvious 3 Kc6 (moving closer to the Pawn) whereupon 3 …, Kc8 4. b7+, Kb8 5. Kb6 draws.

1. Kd5 Kd7
2. Kc5

This gives White the opposition and assures the win, since the Pawn will now reach the seventh rank without checking.

1. Kd5 Kd7
2. Kc5

White wins, as the Pawn will queen.
